Kismet is located in the shadow of the Fire Island Lighthouse, Kismet defines what most people think of when they imagine a beach community.  Intensely informal, carefree and easygoing, residents come from a variety of backgrounds and share a variety of interests.  Due to its proximity to Robert Moses State Park and the Captree Bridge, Kismet is the ideal place for year-round residents who wish to live on the island but still work on the mainland.

 

 

Kismet boast a number of attractions, besides the large clean beach we have two restaurant/bars (The Kismet Inn & Surf’s Out), a full service deli & market, liquor store that delivers, The Red Wagon gift shop, pizza on the dock, tennis and basketball courts.
